Davison implied Wednesday in a post on his personal Twitter account that he's shooting without a brace on his surgically repaired left shoulder.

After injuring his shoulder early in his freshman campaign, Davison delayed surgery until after the season, appearing in 33 games (29 starts) and averaging 12.1 points, 2.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 three-pointers in 31.2 minutes per contest. It's a positive sign that he's already been able to ditch the brace following surgery, but it will likely take a couple more months before he regains full range of motion in the shoulder. Davison should be ready for full-contact work and the Badgers reconvene in September for practices and projects to spend more time off the ball in 2018-19 after injuries pressed him into action at point guard for much of his freshman season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Davison (shoulder) is expected to be ready for full-contact drills by September, Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Davison played much of his freshman season through a left shoulder injury and opted to undergo reconstructive surgery this spring with the hope of permanently solving the issue. He's nearly two months into his recovery and has recently shed his sling, so it appears everything is going as expected. At this point, Davison won't be ready for summer workouts, but if he's ultimately cleared by September for full-contact work, he should be 100 percent healthy ahead of the 2018-19 campaign. Even with fellow guard D'Mitrik Trice (foot) healthy and expected back in the rotation, Davison showed enough upside and production as a freshman to be in line for a sizable role once again as a sophomore.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Davison will undergo surgery on his shoulder when he returns to Madison, but he indicated that he doesn't expect to miss any time in 2018-19 as a result, Zach Heilprin of The Zone 96.7 FM reports.

Davison played most of the season with a brace on his left shoulder, but he has decided to undergo a procedure to correct the issue permanently. The freshman starred down the stretch after taking over the starting point guard job following D'Mitrik Trice's (foot) season-ending injury. Davison will certainly see a huge chunk of minutes in his sophomore campaign, but it will be interesting to see who coach Greg Gard decides to move off of the ball when both options are healthy.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Davison totaled 30 points (10-19 FG, 3-7 3pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds and two assists in Sunday's loss to Michigan State.

Davison erupted for a new career-high 30 points on another career-best 10 made field goals. Despite having his left shoulder pop out of socket in the second half of Sunday's game, the freshman guard came back strong and battled through putting up a career-high 19 shots.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Davison totaled 11 points (4-13 FG, 3-8 3Pt), two assists, one rebound and one steal during Thursday's loss to Northwestern.

Averaging just 5.7 points in his last three games, the 6-3 guard was finally able to put up double figures in scoring. Wisconsin gave Davison two days off of practice this week to try to rejuvenate the overused freshman. He should continue to be a valuable piece to the Badgers if they want to turn their season around.

January 20, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Davison notched a game high with 18 points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 10-10 FT) and added two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the win over Illinois on Friday.

Friday night's performance was much needed for the Badgers, who lost all three games on their most recent road trip. Davison has been asked to take on a large role as a freshman on an inexperienced and thin rotation. He is putting up 12.1 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals in 29.3 minutes per game. Davison and the Badgers will look to make it two straight wins on Tuesday when they take on Iowa.

January 6, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Davison provided 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, and four rebounds in a losing effort on Friday at Rutgers.

Davison has been a consistent scoring threat over the last seven contests as he is averaging 14.7 points per game. The freshman has solidified himself as the No. 2 option on the Badgers, behind Ethan Happ and his 16.7 PPG. A key for Davison going forward will be his three-point stroke, as he is averaging nearly five attempts from behind the arc per game. His 38 percent shooting from deep is decent, but there is room for improvement there. The Badgers will look to bounce back on Tuesday against Nebraska.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Davison totaled 16 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3PT, 4-6 FT), five assists and two steals during Wednesday's game against Western Kentucky.

Davison also drew a pair of charges in the contest, including one with two seconds remaining on an inbound that sent him to the line for the game-winning free throws. With a lack of available alternatives at point guard, the freshman will likely be relied upon heavily moving forward.
