White has decided to transfer to Wake Forest for his last year of eligibility, Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com reports.

After testing out the NBA Draft process, White decided to leave his former program UNC-Charlotte. His travels won't take him far as he'll stay in-state at Wake Forest, but the move to the ACC will pit him against better competition and better prepare him for a possible chance at the NBA one day. He will be forced to sit out a season, per NCAA transfer rules, but will be playing in 2019-2020.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

White, who recently withdrew from the 2018 NBA Draft, will transfer away from UNC-Charlotte, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports.

White put together a standout junior campaign for UNC-Charlotte, posting averages of 15.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.2 assists across 27.3 minutes. That prompted him to enter his name in the 2018 NBA Draft, though White eventually pulled out after talking to scouts and getting a better read on his draft potential. Instead of remaining at UNC-Charlotte for his senior year, White will look elsewhere for his final season of eligibility, potentially even landing a spot in a power five conference. That said, he's expected to sit out the upcoming season due to the current transfer rules.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

White said Monday that he would withdraw from the 2018 NBA Draft and return to Charlotte for his senior season, Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com reports.

White declared for the draft in March after averaging 15.0 points (on 42.8 percent shooting from the field), 4.8 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.2 assists for Charlotte as a junior in 2017-18. As an undersized guard who struggled from three-point range last season, White was never considered a likely draft selection, so after garnering feedback from NBA talent evaluators, it's not a surprise he opted to return to school. He'll look to boost his draft stock as a senior while serving as one of the 49ers' go-to offensive options along with fellow senior Jon Davis, who is also expected to withdraw from the draft.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

White will declare for the 2018 NBA Draft but won't sign with an agent, a source informed Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com.

The 6-foot-3 guard will see where he stands in the eyes of NBA scouts after averaging 15.0 points (on 42.8 percent shooting from the field), 4.8 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.2 assists in 27.3 minutes per game as a junior. White isn't viewed by many draftniks as an NBA-ready prospect and would likely go undrafted if he elects to sign with an agent, so it would be a major surprise if he didn't return to Charlotte for his senior season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

White (thumb) came off the bench to score a team-high 23 points in Thursday's loss to UAB. He added three steals and a block over 32 minutes.

Thursday marked White's first game back after a three-game absence due to a thumb injury. Clearly, the thumb issue is behind him as White dropped 23 points to tie his season-high against conference opposition. Look for White to rejoin the starting lineup Saturday when the 49ers take on Middle Tennessee.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

White has missed two straight games with a minor thumb injury, David Scott of the Charlotte Observer reports.

The junior guard serves as a centerpiece to the 49ers' offense this season, averaging 14.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.1 assists per contest. Fortunately, it appears the issue isn't considered serious, so it wouldn't be surprising if he's back in action for Saturday's matchup against Old Dominion. If not, Ryan Murphy could be in line for a large minute bump again.
