RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel is inactive for Thursday's game against the Redblacks, Danny Austin of the Calgary Sun and Herald reports.

It's unclear when Michel has been scratched for Thursday's tilt, as he returned to the depth chart Wednesday and is presumably fully healthy. More word may emerge following the contest. His next chance to take the field arrives Saturday against the Alouettes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel is on the team's depth chart for Thursday's game against Ottawa, suggesting he is fully healthy.

Michel was forced to sit out Calgary's last two games, but he will be healthy enough to return to action this week. So far this season, Michel has five catches for 67 yards. He could have a chance to see more targets with Eric Rogers (undisclosed) sitting out, but he is listed as a reserve, which likely puts some type of cap on his output.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel (undisclosed) was placed on the one-game injured list for Week 3.

Michel was able to practice a bit this week, but he is not ready for game action just yet. He could be next time the Stampeders take the field in Week 5, though, with a Week 4 bye providing him extra time to rest and recover.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel (undisclosed) was seen practicing Tuesday, Danny Austin of The Calgary Sun reports.

It's still unclear exactly what lead to Michel being placed on the one-game injured list for Week 2, but his participation in Tuesday's practice suggests he's overcome it. Expect an official update on Michel's status for Week 3 to come when the Stampeders release their depth chart.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel (undisclosed) was placed on the one-game injured list ahead of Saturday's game against the Argos.

As expected, given that he was never expected to play Saturday, Michel will be sidelined for Week 2 after pulling in five catches for 67 yards in the team's season opener. Reggie Begelton will get the start at wide receiver in Michel's absence Saturday.

June 20, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel (undisclosed) is unlikely to play in Saturday's matchup with the Argos, Danny Austin of the Calgary Sun & Herald reports. "He's pushing hard but I don't think it's gonna be there, but we'll see," head coach Dave Dickenson said.

Michel had a solid showing in the Stampeders season opener, pulling in five receptions for 67 yards. However, it appears he may have picked up an undisclosed injury that is now expected to sideline him at least a week. While Michel is doubtful to play, the fact that the Stampeders aren't ruling him out entirely provides some optimism that the injury may not be overly serious. That said, keep an eye out for another update as game day approaches.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel notched five receptions for 67 yards in the Stampeders' 28-14 win over the Tiger-Cats on Saturday.

Michel is expected to once again bring an important speed element to the Stampeders' passing game in 2018, following a rookie season in which he averaged 19.0 yards per reception on his 41 grabs. The 24-year-old will have fellow speedster Davaris Daniels to compete with in terms of downfield targets, but there should be plenty to go around for both players on a Calgary offense that could see an increase in pass attempts this season as a result of running back Jerome Messam's offseason departure. Michel will look to make an impact in a Week 2 Grey Cup rematch against the Argonauts.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel (undisclosed) was added to Calgary's depth chart ahead of Sunday's game against the Eskimos.

Although Michel is back after missing the last two games, he's listed as a backup wide receiver, which likely implies that he's not up to full speed just yet. In his place, Anthony Parker will start opposite DaVaris Daniels.

November 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel (undisclosed) was back at practice Thursday, the Calgary Sun's Danny Austin reports.

Michel was able to take the field during the Stampeders' practice this week, which is a good sign heading into next weekend's Division Final. There will likely be a better idea of his status around this time next week.

November 2, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel (undisclosed) is not on the team's depth chart for Friday's contest against the Blue Bombers.

Michel suffered an undisclosed injury at some point within the last two weeks, and will miss his second straight game as the team heads into the regular-season finale this weekend. The wideout will have a couple weeks to recover before Calgary's Western Final on Nov. 19.

October 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel was taken off the team's depth chart prior to Saturday's game against Edmonton due to an undisclosed injury.

Michel will miss the Stampeders' Week 19 contest while Anthony Parker earns the start in his stead. Julan Lynch was also added to the active roster to provide more depth at the position. Over the course of the season, Michel has played in 13 games, recording 41 catches for 780 yards and three touchdowns.

October 13, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel posted five catches for 75 yards in Friday's 28-25 win over the Tiger-Cats.

Michel tallied a key 19 yards on two receptions on what would turn out to be the Stampeders' game-winning drive. He eclipsed the 70-yard mark for the fourth time in the last five games as well, his most extended stretch of consistency this season. The 24-year-old had only two receptions heading into a six-catch, 190-yard Week 6 explosion against this same Tiger-Cats squad, but he's now just 216 yards short of a 1,000-yard season. The speedster will look to continue building towards that goal versus the Roughriders in Week 18.

September 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel posted seven receptions for 114 yards in Friday's 59-11 victory over the Alouettes.

The speedster posted his second 100-yard receiving effort of the season while also notching his highest single-game reception total. Michel has flashed some nice upside on multiple occasions in 2017, also having posted tallies of 72, 79 and 95 receiving yards in three other contests. Michel needs just 291 yards over Calgary's last four games to reach the 1,000-yard mark, a goal he'll look to keep building towards in a Week 17 tilt against the Tiger-Cats.

September 17, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel notched five receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 27-13 win over the Lions.

The speedster now has 167 receiving yards over his last two games and paced the Stamps' wideouts in both receptions and yardage Saturday. His 31-yard touchdown reception, which opened the scoring on the night for either club, was his first since back in Week 6 and only his second of the season. However, he appears to be increasingly earning the trust of quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, who's now connected with him on 11 occasions over the last three games. Michel will look to continue using his game-breaking speed to his advantage against the Roughriders in Week 14.

September 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel posted two receptions for 72 yards in Saturday's 25-22 win over the Eskimos.

Michel's reception total was decidedly modest, but both of his catches had significant impact. The speedster brought in a 48-yard throw from Bo Levi Mitchell down the left sideline to place the ball within the shadow of the Eskimos' goal line in the second quarter, and he added a 24-yard grab in the third quarter that got the ball into Edmonton territory. The 24-year-old has kept a consistent role in the Stamps' passing attack, as he's notched at least 44 receiving yards in each of the last four games. He'll look to build on Saturday's productive night against the Lions in Week 13.

August 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michal caught four passes for 58 yards in Saturday's 23-7 win over the Argos.

The CFL rookie continues to carve out a role in Calgary's passing attack with Kamar Jorden (knee) on IR, and Michal now has 15 catches for 335 yards and a TD in the last four games. DaVaris Daniels and Marquay McDaniel remain Bo Levi Mitchell's top targets, but Michal is proving to be someone defenses need to account for as well.

August 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel caught four passes for 79 yards in Friday's 21-17 win over the Lions.

The CFL rookie has alternated good performances with nearly invisible ones since assuming a larger role in the Stamps offense, and through his first five games Michel now has 13 catches for 314 yards and two TDs. With Lemar Durant (knee) potentially out for the season, Michel should continue growing into a starting role with Calgary.

July 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel totaled 190 yards and a touchdown on six receptions in Saturday's 60-1 win over the Ti-Cats. He also gained seven yards on his sole rush.

While the CFL's penchant for revolving offensive depth charts can occasionally lead to some unexpected performances, Michel's effort Saturday truly came out of nowhere. The University of Massachusetts product likely wouldn't have come anywhere close to the numbers he generated were it not for a first-quarter ankle injury to Kamar Jorden, which opened the door for Michel's expanded role. The 24-year-old flashed excellent speed while making spectacular plays all over the field, including a 40-yard grab over the middle in the opening period shortly after Jorden's injury, a 60-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter and an acrobatic 35-yard score just before halftime. If Jorden's injury were to linger, Michel would make for a high-upside short-term play in any format. He'll look to make an impact once again versus the Argos in Week 7, although whether it will be in a starting role remains to be seen.

July 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel is listed as a reserve wide receiver on the depth chart for Saturday's game against the Roughriders.

Michel is listed on the depth chart for the second time this season. In his last appearance he worked as a starter and found paydirt, but he will likely serve only as depth this time around with both DaVaris Daniels and Lemar Durant healthy.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel is not listed on the depth chart for Friday's game against the Blue Bombers.

Michel filled in for an injured DaVaris Daniels last week and found the end zone, but he was moved back to the practice roster with Daniels returning to action Friday. While Michel will not play this week, his Week 2 showing likely makes him the top option next time Calgary needs to add a receiver to the active roster.

June 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel, who drew the start for DaVaris Daniels (shoulder), totaled 37 yards and a touchdown on two receptions in Thursday's 43-39 win over the Redblacks.

The 23-year-old got the starting nod in what was his first taste of CFL regular-season action and responded with his first career touchdown. Michel's 26-yard scoring grab came with 9:32 remaining in the second quarter, snapping a 6-6 tie and serving as half of his catch total on the night. Michel was mainly a possession receiver during his three years at the University of Massachusetts, topping out at 12.9 yard per reception in 2013 and finishing his collegiate career with 985 yards on 89 catches overall. He did have some limited kickoff return experience as a sophomore as well, so the Stamps could potentially seek to get him involved on special teams if necessary while he tries to work his way up the receiver depth chart.

June 28, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Michel will start at wide receiver in Thursday's game against the Redblacks.

Michel was not on the active roster for Week 1, but he will both suit up and start this week with fellow receiver DaVaris Daniels (shoulder) sidelined. Daniels is not believed to be facing a long-term absence, but Michel will have an opportunity to show what he can do until Daniels returns to action.
