RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis totaled 65 yards on his sole reception in the Alouettes' 28-18 loss to the Redblacks on Friday.

The 25-year-old was almost shut out for a second straight week, but he was able to come up with a game-long 65-yard grab on the Alouettes' first offensive play of the fourth quarter. Lewis clearly has ability to get downfield, although Friday was his first real opportunity this season to put it on display. The unsettled nature of the Montreal offense is a detriment to his overall fantasy value, but Lewis remains in play as a DFS tournament flyer heading into a Week 6 matchup against the Stampeders.

Lewis posted four catches for 34 yards in the Alouettes' 56-10 loss to the Blue Bombers on Friday.

Lewis' receiving yardage total paced the Alouettes on the night, although given Montreal's meager offensive output overall, that's not exactly a ringing endorsement. The 25-year-old has shown solid rapport with quarterback Drew Willy through the first two weeks, as he's posted six catches and a touchdown overall. He'll look to build on Friday's numbers in Week 3 showdown against the Roughriders.

Lewis reeled in two passes for 23 yards and added three more yards on one carry in Saturday's 22-10 loss to the Lions. He also recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.

It's not exactly sustainable production, but at least it's something. Lewis was trailing Chris Williams as the latter neared the end zone after a 56-yard catch, but a BC defensive back stripped the ball. It bounced over the goal line and Lewis pounced on it for the score. While the second-year player wasn't a major part of Montreal's game plan, he did make one catch in each of the final three quarters, with a long of 14 yards. As one of seven Alouette receivers with a reception in the contest, the Oklahoma product will have to do more than fall on loose balls to gain traction in this offense.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis was taken off Montreal's depth chart ahead of Friday's game against the Roughriders, Taylor Shire of Global Regina reports.

The team hasn't released the game notes at this point, so it's unknown whether Lewis was taken off due to an injury concern or just to free up the roster spot. Either way, the wideout will not be playing in Week 19 after catching four passes for 74 yards to lead the team during last weekend's contest against the Tiger-Cats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis collected four receptions for 74 yards in Sunday's 43-16 loss to the Tiger-Cats.

The 24-year-old saw his first action since Week 6 and took advantage of the opportunity. Lewis demonstrated excellent rapport with backup Matt Shiltz, hauling in back-to-back catches of 25 and 38 yards in the fourth quarter for a big chunk of his production. Lewis could see extended action over the Alouettes' final two games and will look to build on Sunday's effort in Week 19 against the Roughriders.

Lewis is not listed on the depth chart for Friday's game against the Argonauts.

Lewis caught three passes for 47 yards in Montreal's last game in Week 6, but he is back on the practice roster this week with fellow pass catcher Tiquan Underwood back in action.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis will start Thursday's game against the Blue Bombers in place of the injured Tiquan Underwood (ankle), Didier Ormejuste of RDS reports.

Lewis will not only be making his first CFL start Thursday, but also his first CFL appearance altogether. Lewis' role beyond Thursday's contest is uncertain, but with Underwood sidelined, he will get a chance to show the coaching staff what he is capable of.
