Harty suffered a torn ACL on the first day of training camp, Justin Dunk of 3DownNation.com reports.

Head coach Chris Jones revealed Monday that Harty's injury a was potentially a very serious one when he said it didn't look good, and his suspicions have been confirmed with Tuesday's diagnosis. Harty is coming off a career-best season in Ottawa last year, but he will now have to wait until 2019 to return to the field.

Harty suffered a knee injury during training camp and head coach Chris Jones said Monday that it does not look good, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.

While there is no official diagnoses for Harty yet, it appears the wideout will be out for an extended time with the knee injury. Expect another update on Harty's status to come in the next couple of days following more testing.

Updating a previous report, Harty will sign a contract with the Roughriders.

Harty originally agreed to a deal to sign with Montreal, but it apparently fell through and he'll now join Saskatchewan instead. The 27-year-old, former 10th overall pick should provide depth on the outside, while also adding some help on special teams where needed. During the 2017 campaign with Ottawa, Harty finished with 27 receptions for 226 yards and one touchdown.

Harty signed with the Alouettes on Wednesday, Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette reports.

Both sides appear to be waiting on a physical, but it looks as if the three-year vet will be moving to Montreal in 2018. Harty appeared in 18 games for Ottawa last season and hauled in 27 receptions for 226 yards and one touchdown.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Harty is listed as a reserve slotback on the depth chart for Friday's matchup with the Roughriders.

Harty started at wide receiver in the last four games, but he racked up just 52 receiving yards over that span, so the Redblacks decided to switch things up and will let Dominique Rhymes work with the starting unit this week.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Harty posted three receptions for 27 yards in Friday's 29-9 loss to the Blue Bombers.

Harty was behind just Greg Ellingson on the team in receptions for the night, garnering half of the latter's total. The 26-year-old's role in the Redblacks passing attack remains decidedly modest, as his six-reception, 68-yard tally in Week 10 against the Lions remains the high point of his production. He'll look to up his contributions versus the Roughriders in Week 15.

Harty will start at wide receiver in Thursday's game against the Alouettes.

Harty has picked up the pace of late with eight receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown over his last two games, so he will get a chance to start for the first time this season in Week 11.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Harty totaled six receptions for 68 yards in Saturday's 31-24 win over the Lions.

Harty's productive night essentially came out of nowhere, as he'd come into the game with only four receptions on the season. The 26-year-old had only nine career catches coming into 2017, all which he tallied last season. Despite the solid performance Saturday, it remains to be seen if Harty will be able to see enough targets consistently to become a viable fantasy play. His next opportunity to make his case will come against the Als in Week 12.
