RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green (hand) was placed on the six-game injured list prior to Week 1.

Head coach June Jones revealed earlier this week that Green was likely to miss a couple games with his hand injury, and it now appears he could be out longer than that. It's not exactly clear when Green will be ready to return to action, but in his absence, Nikita Whitlock, Mercer Timmis, and John White -- after Week 1 -- are all candidates to see carries.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green will miss at least two games with a hand injury, TSN's Louis Butko reports.

Green missed time during the exhibition season while tending to a personal matter, and he will now miss regular-season time as well due to the hand injury. Mercer Timmis is the favorite to start Week 1 in Green's absence, but after that, recent addition John White could be ready to play, and either Timmis or Green could start in Week 2.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green (personal) has been activated from the suspended list, according to the Toronto Sun.

Green was away from the team while dealing with a personal matter, but he has rejoined the Tiger-Cats and will remain with the squad moving forward. Green is set to start at running back this year for the Tiger-Cats, but he missed Hamilton's first preseason game, so he will see action in the team's second exhibition contest while most of his fellow first-stringers get the day off.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green has been excused by the Tiger-Cats to tend to a personal matter, according to the Hamilton Spectator.

It's not clear when Green will be returning to the team, so it's uncertain if his absence could threaten his availability for Week 1. If for any reason Green can't play in Hamilton's season opener, Mercer Timmis is the likely favorite to step into his spot.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green rushed 11 times for 76 yards and one touchdown while adding two receptions for 12 yards in Friday's 33-0 season-ending win over the Alouettes.

Green was one of the pleasant surprises of the Tiger-Cats' second-half offensive resurgence, as he racked up five rushing scores over his six games. The 29-year-old wraps up the season having averaged an impressive 5.7 yards per rush and could certainly be in Hamilton's plans next season as they attempt to build on a strong finish.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green rushed nine times for 47 yards in Friday's 41-36 loss to the Redblacks.

Green failed to see double-digit carries for the first time this season and also saw his three-game touchdown streak come to an end. The 29-year-old has cooled off since opening his CFL career with 33 carries for 237 yards and a touchdown over his first pair of contests, as he hasn't run for more than 47 yards in three subsequent games. He'll look to close out the season on a stronger note against the Alouettes' vulnerable run defense in Week 20.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green rushed 13 times for 40 yards and a touchdown while also notching two catches for 16 yards in Sunday's 43-16 win over the Alouettes.

Green continues to display a knack for getting into the end zone, with his four-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter serving as his fourth touchdown in the last three games. The 29-year-old tailback has seen no less than 13 carries in any of his four games, so his workload continues to afford him a solid fantasy floor. He'll look to continue producing against the Redblacks in Week 19.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green rushed 13 times for 47 yards and two touchdowns and added one reception for four yards in Friday's 28-25 loss to the Stampeders.

Green notched a pair one-yard rushing scores, the second coming with 51 seconds remaining and leaving the Tiger-Cats just an extra point short of a 25-25 tie. Green now has three rushing touchdowns over his last two games, and a 140-yard effort in the third contest in which he's played in this season. He continues to be an appealing DFS option week to week, considering his typically modest price and role as Hamilton's clear-cut lead back. He'll look to keep building on his success in Week 18 against the Alouettes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green rushed 20 times for 97 yards and a touchdown and didn't net any yards on his one catch in Friday's 30-13 win over the Blue Bombers.

Now the Tiger-Cats' unquestioned lead back with C.J. Gable in Edmonton, Green carried a substantial load and was an excellent complement to the sharp passing of QB Jeremiah Masoli. The 29-year-old was still going strong in the fourth quarter, ripping off a game-long 26 yard run on Hamilton's final scoring drive. Green also logged a one-yard touchdown in the third quarter, the first of his young CFL career. Green should continue seeing a heavy workload for the balance of the regular season, making him a weekly DFS option to consider. He'll look to put together another strong effort versus the stingy Stampeders defense in Week 17.

October 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green will start at running back in Friday's game against the Blue Bombers.

Green did not record a touch last week after racking up a whopping 155 yards on just 15 touches the previous week, but he is now the clear top running back in Hamilton following the trade of C.J. Gable earlier this week. Green's upside is evident based on his Week 14 performance, and he will square off against a Winnipeg squad that is, on a per-game basis, fifth in the league in rushing yards allowed and second to last in total yards allowed.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green is listed as the backup running back for Saturday's matchup with the Argonauts.

Green was the big surprise of Week 14 when he rushed 13 times for 140 yards in his CFL debut, which makes his drop to the No. 2 spot on the depth chart fairly shocking. Nevertheless, Green could see a drop in usage in Week 15 with C.J. Gable being listed as the starter in the backfield.

September 23, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green gained 140 yards on 13 rushes and added two receptions for 15 yards in Friday's 24-23 win over the Lions.

Green parlayed his somewhat surprising starting assignment into a jaw-dropping performance, one that saw him average 10.8 yards per rush while frequently running over multiple would-be tacklers. Green's fresh legs -- the result of him not having played a down in a professional regular-season game since 2013 -- certainly paid dividends and justified his ascension to the top of the depth chart. He'll look to put together a successful encore versus the Argonauts in Week 15.

September 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green is listed as the starting running back ahead of Friday's game against the Lions.

This comes as a bit of a surprise given that Green was just recently added to the Tiger-Cats' practice roster under two weeks ago, but it looks like the team is giving the tailback the opportunity to take on a starter's workload. Sean Thomas-Erlington is listed as Green's backup while C.J. Gable will serve as the third-string running back Friday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green was added to the Tiger-Cats practice roster Tuesday.

Green was most recently a member of the Tiger-Cats in training camp before being released June 18 after being beaten out by Ross Scheuerman for the backup running back job. But, with Hamilton's reserve running backs beaten up at the moment, the team has decided to give Green another look.

June 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green was released by the Tiger-Cats on Saturday.

Green competed for Hamilton's backup running back job during training camp, but he was beaten out for the spot by Ross Scheuerman, and will now have to look for other opportunities.

June 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green had six carries for 46 yards in the Tiger-Cats' preseason opener last week.

Green is playing in the CFL for the first time this year, and is competing for Hamilton's backup running back job behind C.J. Gable with Ross Scheuerman. While Green's 7.7 YPC average from the first exhibition game is healthy, it should be noted that 45 of his yards came on one run.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Green signed with the Tiger-Cats on Thursday.

The 28-year-old has a good amount of professional experience to his name, producing 510 rushing yards on 149 attempts in 29 NFL games with the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets. Green's experience and decent size (6-foot-2, 22 pounds) could help him garner a decent role in the Ticats offense.
