RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams posted nine receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown in the Eskimos' 16-15 win over the Argonauts on Friday.

Williams has seemingly supplanted Derel Walker as Mike Reilly's favorite target, at least for the time being. The 25-year-old is already just 15 receptions shy of the 46 he posted in eight additional games during his rookie 2017 campaign, and he's eclipsed the century mark in receiving yardage for four straight games. Williams has also upped his reception totals over those of the prior week in three consecutive contests, and factoring in Friday's production, he's now tallied three touchdowns and 19.1 yards per catch. The Auburn product will hope the Week 6 bye doesn't cool him off and will look to pick up where he left off in Week 7 against the beatable Alouettes defense.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams posted eight catches for 125 yards in the Eskimos' 20-17 loss to the Argonauts on Saturday.

The 25-year-old eclipsed the century mark through the air for the third straight game, posting his second-highest receiving yardage total in the process. Williams' reception total was also a season high, as he continues to develop into one of Mike Reilly's most trusted targets. While Derel Walker naturally remains a threat as well, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Williams is a much stouter option that sports the ability to get downfield, as evidenced by 88 - and 64-yard receptions the prior two weeks. He'll look to extend his stellar stretch of play when he sees the Argonauts again for a Week 5 rematch.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams posted six receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown and also caught a pair of two-point conversion passes in the Eskimos' 41-22 win over the Lions on Friday.

Williams impressively led all pass catchers in receptions and receiving yards Friday, and he was responsible for 10 points overall with his scoring grabs. The stout 25-year-old makes for an excellent target in the red zone for quarterback Mike Reilly, something he aptly demonstrated Friday. Now boasting back-to-back 100-yard, one-touchdown efforts, Williams will look to put together a third straight impressive performance when he faces the Argonauts in Week 4.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams hauled in four catches for 105 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 38-21 loss to Hamilton.

Williams was seemingly ignored by the Ticats defense as he was five yards behind anyone in the secondary when quarterback Mike Reilly hit him in stride for an 88-yard touchdown on the Eskimos' first drive of the game. The 25-year-old got more attention from the defense after that, as he wouldn't make another catch until the fourth quarter with Edmonton in catch-up mode. The former Auburn Tiger has four catches in each game so far this season and will try to step up again Week 3 at home against BC.

June 15, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams collected four receptions for 74 yards in the Eskimos' 33-30 win over the Blue Bombers on Thursday.

Williams served as a complementary presence in the air attack alongside linchpin Derel Walker, who put together a 176-yard performance befitting of his role as No. 1 receiver. Williams had a scary moment while making an acrobatic second-half catch on the sideline that was ultimately ruled out of bounds, landing on the ball and apparently losing his wind for several minutes. He ultimately was able to return and put together serviceable numbers overall. He'll look to build on the performance when the Eskimos do battle with the Tiger-Cats in Week 2.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams caught three passes for 37 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's exhibition opener against the Roughriders.

Williams will play a prominent role in Edmonton's passing attack this season, as evidenced by his production in limited opportunities Sunday. Williams had four 100-yard games for the Eskimos last year, but none after fellow receiver Derek Walker made his season debut in Week 12, which is important to note with Walker playing all of the upcoming season in the CFL after attempting to win an NFL job in 2017.

November 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams was removed from the depth chart ahead of Sunday's Western Final against Calgary.

Williams was listed as a backup wideout during last weekend's game against Winnipeg, but missed the previous three contests due to an undisclosed injury, and it's possible that he's feeling the effects of that ailment once again. Derel Walker and Vidal Hazelton are the only wide receivers listed on the team's depth chart.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (undisclosed) is on the depth chart ahead of Sunday's game with the Blue Bombers.

Williams missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury, but is on the active roster for this weekend's playoff contest. It remains to be seen how much the wideout will play, especially since he was moved down to No. 3 on the depth chart behind Vidal Hazelton, but it's expected that he will see some time on the field.

November 3, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (undisclosed) is not listed on the depth chart for Saturday's contest against the Roughriders.

Williams is set to stay on the shelf for a third straight contest while he recovers from an undisclosed injury. In his place, Vidal Hazelton will start opposite Derel Walker yet again, while Bryant Mitchell remains the only other wide receiver on the active roster.

October 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (undisclosed) is not on the depth chart for Saturday's game against Calgary.

Williams will miss a second straight game after landing on the injured list prior to last Saturday's contest with BC due to an undisclosed ailment. In his place, Vidal Hazelton will receive another start while Bryant Mitchell is in line for more reps.

October 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (undisclosed) was placed on the injured list prior to Saturday's game against the Lions.

Williams will head to the one-game injured list with an apparent setback while Vidal Hazelton (undisclosed) returns after spending the last couple months on the shelf. Once Williams is healthy, it appears as though he will see a diminished role in the offense due to the addition of Hazelton, but he's been a solid contributor and figures to continue being a complimentary option for Edmonton.

October 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams caught three passes for 51 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 42-24 win over the Alouettes.

The rookie now has four TDs in 12 games to begin his CFL career, and Williams has proven to be a solid complementary option for Mike Reilly in the Edmonton passing game. Expect him to continue seeing steady targets down the stretch as the team tries to lock up a playoff spot.

September 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams posted seven receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 25-22 loss to the Stamps.

Williams was an integral part of Mike Reilly's 461-yard performance, posting a season-high reception total. He also got into the end zone for the first time since Week 9, making up for a lackluster one-catch, seven-yard effort against this same Stamps secondary in Week 11. It remains to be seen how Derel Walker's return to Edmonton might cut into Williams' targets, but the former's presence didn't seem to have an adverse effect Saturday. He'll look to continue producing against the Argos in Week 13.

September 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams was moved from slotback to wide receiver on the depth chart for Monday's game against the Stampeders.

Williams topped the 100-yard each of the last two weeks while playing in the slot, but he will move back outside this week to accommodate the return of top slotback Adarius Bowman. Williams did also tally 100 yards twice in five games at the wide receiver position earlier this season, so the change may not have a major effect on his output.

August 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams posted six receptions for a game-high 101 yards in Friday's 54-31 loss to the Riders. He also caught a two-point conversion pass.

Williams has returned from a recent two-game absence with a bang, having eclipsed the 100-yard mark in both subsequent contests and in three straight overall. The 24-year-old's impressive 6-foot-3, 225-pound frame would figure to serve him well in the red zone, an area in which Williams will look to continue improving after recording just two touchdown receptions over his first seven games. He'll look to keep dominating against the Stamps in Week 11.

August 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams caught four passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 33-26 loss to the Blue Bombers.

After Edmonton fell behind 17-3 in the first half, Williams' acrobatic 33-yard score midway through the third quarter got the team to within a touchdown, but the comeback effort came no closer. Adarius Bowman (hamstring) may not be ready to return for a couple more weeks yet, and in his absence Williams has emerged as Mike Reilly's most dangerous target.

August 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (undisclosed) will start at slotback in Thursday's game against the Blue Bombers.

Williams sat out the last two weeks due to his injury, but he will be back in action this week. Williams started the first five games of the season at wide receiver, but he will move inside for at least one game with fellow pass catcher Brandon Zylstra still sidelined with an injury of his own.

August 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (undisclosed) returned to practice Monday, Dave Campbell of Inside Sports reports.

Williams has missed the last few games with an undisclosed injury, but his availability for Monday's practice bodes well for a return in the near future. He can still be considered questionable for Thursday's tilt with the Blue Bombers, though if he doesn't suffer any setbacks in practice, he could be given the green light to take the field. That said, the fact that he's fresh off a multi-game injury means Williams could be stuck in a limited role if he's ultimately cleared.

August 10, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (undisclosed) will not participate during Thursday's game against the Redblacks.

Williams, who was listed as a reserve for the week after sitting out Monday's practice due to an injury sustained in the previous week's game, will be held out of Thursday's game against the Redblacks.

August 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (undisclosed) is listed as a reserve receiver on the depth chart for Thursday's game against the Redblacks.

Williams sat out last week's game due to his injury; and while he will not spend Week 8 on the injured list, it seems he may only be available in an emergency, as he is listed as the Eskimos' fourth option at the wide receiver position. With his role uncertain this week, he will be a risky option for fantasy purposes.

August 7, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (undisclosed) sat out Monday's practice, Dave Campbell of Inside Sports reports.

Williams was held out last week's contest and appears to still be dealing with a lingering injury considering he's yet to return to practice. With a matchup against the Redblacks on Thursday, Williams will need to make a quick recovery to take the field, so for now, consider him questionable for that game.

August 3, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams was placed on the one-game injured list Thursday, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

It's not clear what is ailing Williams, but his setback will prevent him from taking the field this week, and allow Chris Getzlaf to move into the starting lineup. Williams will have a chance to return to action for Edmonton's Week 8 matchup with Ottawa next Thursday.

July 29, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams caught four passes for 104 yards in Friday's 37-26 win over the Lions.

The CFL rookie found success with Adarius Bowman (hamstring) out of action, as three different Edmonton receivers topped the century mark in this one. Williams also broke 100 yards in Week 1 but had just eight catches for 68 yards in the three games in between those outbursts, so don't assume he's a lock for another big performance in next Friday's home tilt against the Tiger-Cats.

June 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams totaled 110 yards and a touchdown on four receptions in Saturday's 30-27 win over the Lions.

The Auburn product followed up an explosive preseason with an excellent CFL regular-season debut, grabbing Mike Reilly's first touchdown pass of the campaign in the process. Williams certainly brings impressive size at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, which should make him a particularly effective red-zone threat in his first season north of the border. While there figures to be plenty of competition for Reilly's attention among the pass-catching corps -- considering the presence of Brandon Zylstra and Adarius Bowman, among others -- Williams unquestionably did his part to make a positive early impression.

June 23, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams will start at wide receiver in Saturday's game against the Lions.

Williams parlayed a monster preseason -- one that saw him total 182 yards and two touchdowns on just six receptions -- into a starting spot in what will be both his Eskimos and CFL debut. There are some statistics up for grabs this year in the Edmonton passing game with number muncher Derel Walker heading to the NFL, so Williams' preseason production could just carry right over into the regular season.

June 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams caught three passes for 129 yards and a touchdown in the Eskimos' first preseason game Sunday.

Williams is seeing CFL action for the first time this year after failing to see any NFL action in 2016, and it's looking early like he made the right call hooking on with an Edmonton team that led the CFL in points and passing-game production a year ago. With former Eskimo Derel Walker trying to make it in the NFL, Williams will have a chance to play a key role in Edmonton right out of the gate.
