Fantasy AnalysisLemos' failed drug test stems from a sample that was taken on Nov. 8. The Brazilian fighter will now have to face the UFC anti-doping policy violation and may incur sanctions from the USADA. Lemos lost her last UFC fight in July via a second-round TKO to Leslie Smith. The repercussions of her failed drug test should come to light in the near future.
Fantasy AnalysisLemos appeared to be the much more skilled striker against Smith. The Brazilian got out to an early lead in the first land. She landed several hard hooks and dropped Smith a couple of times with leg kicks. However, Smith continued to forward and forced Lemos to fight at her pace. By the middle of the second round, Lemos was tired and Smith took over. It was only a matter of time until she finished the fight. Lemos will grow from the loss and get at least another shot in the UFC
Fantasy AnalysisLemos will be replacing Lina Lansberg (undisclosed) in this matchup with Leslie Smith. The fight is Lemos' debut with the promotion and her first fight since June 2016. She has a 6-0-1 record with all six wins coming from stoppage, five of which were in the first round.
