Reyes was forced to withdraw from his UFC London matchup against Nasrat Haqparast due to an undisclosed injury, MMA Today reports.

Reyes was scheduled for his second fight with the promotion, looking to bounce back after losing his first to Mike Perry. The reason for his withdrawal was unclear, and although the UFC tried to replace him, Haqparast ultimately suffered an eye injury and had to withdraw as well. The promotion may choose to rebook this fight at a later date.

Reyes will take on Nasrat Haqparast in a lightweight matchup at UFC London on March 17 at the O2 Arena, reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Reyes got the call to make a short-notice debut against Mike Perry at UFC Fight Night 116 last September, but it was clear early he was badly overmatched. Not only did Reyes not receive adequate time to prepare, but he moved up a weight class to the 170-pound division. Now back to his natural weight class at lightweight, Reyes will book a more evenly-matched opponent in the 22-year-old Haparast. The Kings MMA product may have lost his UFC debut to Marcin Held last October, but all eight of his wins from other promotions have been by way of knockout.
Reyes lost to Mike Perry via KO (strikes) at 1:19 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Pittsburgh.

Fantasy Analysis

Credit to Reyes for taking a fight against a dangerous opponent on three days' notice, but it was a poor debut to say the least. Going from the regional circuit to the co-main event of a UFC event is a tough ask for any fighter. Given that Reyes saved the fight on such short notice, expect the UFC to reward him with another opportunity.
Reyes will make his UFC debut on short notice against Mike Perry at UFC Pittsburgh on Saturday, Shaun Al-Shatti of reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Reyes hasn't lost a fight since his professional debut back in 2007, and has since rattled off 12 straight stoppage victories for lesser promotions. Hats off to the 30-year-old for jumping in on three day's notice, but the odds will be stacked against him in his promotional debut. Perry fights with a highly aggressive style, and if Reyes is baited into a violent striking exchange, his night could end early. He'll need to fight calm and calculated, which is a lot to ask of a fighter on this grand of a stage for the first time.
